We all know that communication is key to a healthy relationship and that’s with anyone. However, many people don’t know how to communicate effectively. Why is that? Is it b/c they didn’t learn to use their words as children? Is it b/c they are scared of their own emotions?

I don’t know what the answer is, but I know that there are adults that don’t communicate effectively. Instead they chose to tell lies, ghost people, avoid conversations, sugarcoat the truth, and even omit details.

Do you know how many women would appreciate an honest conversation, a straight answer, or the truth where dating is concerned? Why must people waste other people’s time like tomorrow is promised? I don’t get it and who has time for dumb games? We’re grown out here still acting like teenagers. Why?

On the other hand, how are you communicating what you want to say? Is it aggressive? Is it tactful? Did you think first? Sometimes, and I am guilty of this, people say things before they think. Well, we all know what happens when they occurs. You can’t take it back. So, please think before you speak especially if you don’t know how the other person will take your news, conversation, or revelation.

Finally, communication isn’t always easy, but it’s always necessary. I would like to think as we get older and mature, we learn the importance of communication and even strengthen our skills. However, that isn’t always the case. Sometimes, it seems like people go in reverse to a certain degree.

I just hope that all the mature adults and those in teaching positions are reaching out to the many children within their grasp about the importance of communication, using their words, and social skills b/c people aren’t going anywhere. So, learning to communicate early on in life is essential.
