It’s so funny to think about life growing up vs life now and see how much has changed. At one point, it’s was all about going to school, going to college, getting a good job, and starting a family. I mean, that’s all I heard growing up.

That’s what I was conditioned to do, so that’s what I did. Well, only the going to college part. I’m about to wrap up a master’s degree in March that I started back in 2013 just to get it out of my way b/c it’s definitely has been preventing me from being able to move forward.

As I prepare to graduate, I realize that I don’t even want to do what I spent so much time and money in school preparing for. My degree is in Clinical Psychology, concentration in Forensics, but all I want to do is run my blog and write. Like, literally… figure out how to turn it into a business and write all day.

I’ve even been applying to writing jobs b/c that’s what I want to do. Do you see the money and the time I could have saved by figuring this out sooner? However, I wouldn’t have discovered my love of writing… had it not been for graduate school. What an expensive way to figure out what you love, huh?

All I can say is that I figured it out and now I have to figure out how to turn it into something that I do for a living. If you have ideas, let me know! Yes, I have this blog and I will keep it running, but that’s what I do for fun.

I want my work to be fun just like I have fun when I write on my blog. I want to write from Mexico or China or Panama. I want to be able to love what I’m doing and as hard as I’m working to find that fit, I pray that I will be working my dream job really soon. ❤
